As financial advisors work to calm their clients and protect their assets, the need to clearly understand how to navigate historically difficult markets and communicate that strategy is paramount. Steve Craige is a member of the Mutual Series investment team with experience in communicating their investment team's investment philosophy, process and current strategy. Given his twenty years of managing mutual fund, institutional, and private domestic and international client portfolios, Mr. Craige will offer us wisdom and strategies to help manage assets effectively.
Steve Craige, CFA, joined Franklin Templeton in 2007. Mr. Craige is a member of the Mutual Series investment team and helps communicate the investment team's investment philosophy, process and current strategy to external decision makers and domestic and international clients.
Mr. Craige has over twenty years of experience managing mutual fund, institutional and private client portfolios. He started his career at E.F. Hutton in 1985 and became a portfolio manager in 1987. Staying with the company and its successor organizations, Mr. Craige became the co-head of the Large Cap Value strategy, co-manager of the Smith Barney Large Cap Value mutual fund, the Traveler's Income and Growth fund, and the Smith Barney Large Cap Value and Growth fund. At various times he also had analytical and stock selection responsibility for the financial, consumer staples and basic materials sectors. Just prior to joining the Mutual Series team, Mr. Craige was a Managing Director at US Trust.
Mr. Craige earned his B.A. in economics from the University of Vermont. He is also a Chartered Financial Analyst Charterholder, a member of the Boston Society of Security Analysts and the CFA Institute.
